CD: 2006 Timeline

Home Up

Recorded December 6, 2005

CMS is unforgiving. It sets strict deadlines for coverage, coding, and payment applications. If you miss a deadline, your application could be delayed a year or more. Find out if you know the rules. Read the following statements and select those that are true:

* There is no “best time” to submit an application for a new code.
* CMS grants extensions for firms to provide more data after applications have been submitted.
* The coding “calendar” doesn’t really affect the “reimbursement” calendar.
* Reimbursement planning is only important for high-tech or high-cost products.

If you answered "true" to any of the statements, you need to participate in the Compliance-Alliance's teleconference, “Preparing a 2006 Timeline for Getting Reimbursement.”
